Staying motivated is probably the most important condition for learning a language. What keeps you motivated, however, can vary from person to person. Here are some common reasons:

1) Find a good reason for learning the language, like go to France on your next vacation, meeting new friends, etc.

2) Look at what you already know instead of all the stuff you don't yet know.

3) Read, speak, and write French as much as possible.

4) Watch French movies with English subtitles. Even if you pick up very little, your ear will get used to the sound.

5) Learn French together with a friend or in a group
