Hi Bonnie,

Strictly speaking 'dans tous les sens' means 'in all directions', hence the image of the headless chicken...

Hope this helps!

Hier, il ________ dans tous les sens !Yesterday, he ran around like a headless chicken!

It seems to me it would make more sense as "Sans tous les sens."

Is this a typo?

Hi Bonnie,

courir dans tous les sens is correct. It means to run around aimlessly, to scurry around.

Interessant!

So I just made up a new French idiom?

At least you rediscovered it. It's been around before. Sorry to burst your bubble :)
