Vocabulary from Guadeloupe's Carnival

La parade is used as translation for the parade.  Is using le defile (sorry, can't get the accent aigu on the e's) incorrect? I don't even see it as an option in any of the possible translations listed.

Bonjour Michele,

Indeed, 'défilé' is a correct alternative and has been added as a correct answer. It is also often used for 'military parade', i.e le défilé militaire du 14 juillet.

I hope this is helpful.

Bonne journée !

Défilé is fine here.

Wikipedia: 'Les carnavals donnent lieu à des défilés.'

I'm sure the team will be happy to add it to the list of accepted translations.
