Can other B1 or B2 level students follow it without reading the transcript?

Hi Kathleen,

I have to say I LOVE that fast-paced show, French humour at its best with some Anglo-Saxon self-deprecation. I do look at the subtitles when watching it as there is quite a lot of slang and familiar abbreviations like -

C'est la cata = C'est la catastrophe It's a disaster

and quite a lot of swearing so the vocabulary in this audio taken from French television may be a little bit challenging and we have upgraded it to C1.

Kathleen, If you mean in a single listening - absolutely no way ! If you mean with several listenings and no gaps in knowing what was said  - absolutely no way. Petit à petit, pas à pas !

No!.. is a struggle even with the transcript. Without it, just the occasional word and phrase.. something to come back to!

Definitely more difficult than many of the nature and travel videos on TV5MONDE!
