"une variété de programmes télé ont fait"

Why wouldn't this be "une variété...a fait"? It's "variety" that is the subject of the sentence, and not the prepositional clause "of programs," is it not?

Chan, it depends on the structure, but in this case it is agreement with the plural complement ‘ programmes télé ’ that is correct - emphasising that ‘television programs are made’. (Note that ‘télé’ is invariable, but the expression ‘programmes télé’ is in the plural form).
