Comment - Agree, found it pretty tough going, but a lesson to be learned

I have let my writing and dictation practice slip because I’m speaking French on a daily basis, but a lesson like this one brings home the need to keep at these weekend challenges, keep practicing, keep adding to the vocabulary bank, keep addressing the grammar.

Bonjour Anita,

You're absolutely correct! To progress effectively when learning a language, you must keep practicing all four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) while practicing grammar. A language is a live combination of things that are intertwined. You can't progress without working on all them. That's what's making it so challenging but fun too.
