Nowadays I suspect people associate this song with Lara Fabian more, and I think I like her version best. She sings the section after "Ecoutant ma propre voix qui chantera" without accompaniment, and it's very effective.

I, too, very much prefer Lara Fabian’s version with, if I am not mistaken, her Québécois (as opposed to Belgian) accent coming through strongly on the final “-ment” of ´complètement’ and ´parfaitement’. It is also well worth reading the many enthusiastic comments below on YouTube.
